Another Appellate Opportunity

Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill is looking to fill a newly created position within his SG area, Deputy Solicitor General.  Highlights of the position include

●         representing state agencies and officials in significant constitutional and appellate litigation in the state and federal courts in Indiana, including authoring briefs and delivering oral argument;

●         assisting with other significant litigation handled by the Solicitor General including litigation in the U.S. Supreme Court;

●        helping to oversee the state’s criminal and civil appeals;

●        working directly with the Attorney General, the Solicitor General, and the Attorney General’s senior cabinet to analyze and resolve sensitive constitutional, political, legislative, and legal policy questions.

We prefer an attorney with at least 4 to 7 years’ experience, a federal appellate clerkship, and excellent writing and legal reasoning skills.  Significant experience in appellate litigation or federal administrative law is a plus.
